WEEK 2 - LOTS OF CLOSE CALLS

Slithering to the top

The Sloth Monsters have quitely climbed the branches to the top of the BDFL family tree after two weeks of play

SILVER LAKES - The old proverbial saying goes, "Politics make strange bedfellows". We'd like to add to this by saying, "Roomates can be strange fellows". Take for instance Woosier and Mukes. Both have somewhat strange nicknames. What is a Woosier? What is a Mukes? However, this is only where the similarites begin. Both majored in Criminal Justice at the University of Alabama and both have been known for not concealing their fire arms. Mukes liked to eat potato chips on the sofa and Woosier liked writing his name on his groceries. Both have two kids, so you can see why they would play a game so close like this week's 37-36 Sloth vict'ry. The scheduler maker taketh and the schedule maker giveth. Just a hunch, but I bet WARTS ran this one through the computer a few times on Sunday.

Michael "Slick" Vick is the trigger man behind the Sloths surge

Finance 101: The way the BDFL is funded and rewarded

TITLETOWN - Going into each season, every BDFL franchise is committed to a $30 entry fee. Teams earn $2 against their entry fee with each win. For instance. the Wizards only won one game last year, so their season ending balance was $28. These annual amounts come to $480 in total entry fee money and $272 in total earned win dollars back towards entry fees. The remaining $208 is divided by the first and second place teams at the end of the season. The BDFL's championship team receives the lion's share of $158 while the league's runner up takes home $50. All settle up payments are made at the annual Super Bowl Gala Party.
