The BDFL's 2013 Throwback Week takes a leap forward to explore global tackle football in Week 5 this season

MEGAMARKET - What we know today as pro football has been locked in North America for over 120 years. Don't call me Nostradamus, but I think this is going to change. With the earth getting smaller and technology advancing, the game will be encouraged to expand to cover the globe. We foresee a new Global Football League with teams playing in the biggest markets and the largest stadiums in the world. So this year we'll leap forward 25 years to 2038 and play a week in the GFL. Teams will be owed by individuals, the state, or by the public. League stadiums will be 100,000+ and their will be a global media agreement. 60 man rosters will help with injuries and travel. 18 week schedule begins play after the Super Bowl. In 2038 there will be16 teams with strategic plans to get to 32 in the next 25 years.
