The roaring Rice Rockets are soaring towards a title run, leaving the Bullets in the dirty dust of Week 13

GARDENDALE - Forty years ago in 1970, Helen Reddy penned, "I am strong, I am invincible, I am woman" and then recorded the infamous I Am Woman. The song somehow became the enduring anthem for the women's liberation movement of the 70s. Now in the same accord, the Juggernauts are out to liberate the Big Daddy Football League. This time not so much with just words and music, but with dominant performances on the BDFL gridiron. With an impressive 9-4 record thus far, the Bra Burners are setting the league on fire. Their latest victims were the Benton Bullets on Ed Bruce Field at Driver Stadium on Sunday. The Black Hand (La Mano Nera) from the Black Belt, never knew what hit them as the 'Nauts knocked 'em in the snot locker on the opening kick-off and never backed off the accelerator on their title quest odyssey. If the rice keeps flowing in from the Far West, the Rockets could have enough fuel to soar to the top of the BDFL at season's end, then they can really roar and not give a rip.

PowerSleds need a "must win" to qualify for the BDCS

AUDUBON - With a huge OT win in Week 13, the PowerSleds are all still in the hunt for a Big Daddy Championship (BDCS) bid as Week 14 approaches, but will need a "must win" in Week 14 to be eligible. Keep in mind that seven wins alone will not turn the BDCS trick. Total points are the determining criteria once you make it over the "Bullet Line" of seven regular season wins. The Fighting Slovaks with seven wins are puckering with a point total (257) that may be too weak to make it to the dance.
