BLACK CREEK - What started out as a friendly game of softball as part of an University of Alabama intramural team reunion turned in to a cutthroat BDFL instant classic as Druid City "blitzed" the home standing Creek Indian Tribe 44-41. Nobody really knows what set the Gritz Blitz off, but reports say Kommandant Fritz finally had enough of the Two Out  Ball Club's chants, and he started mumbling something about "no class right there" and "it gets in their hair". Fritz then proceeded to pull out his balls (Haitian Red Dots microwaved and frozen) and his ultimate secret weapon bat (Titanium DeMarini) to finally put an end to Kawliga's Doo Doo Pumpers. Black Creek curator, Elmo Matthews, said he hasn't seen that many balls leave the storied ballpark since 1988 when the legendary Gardendale Merchants USSSA Class D Southeast Regional Champs visited to play an exhibition game against Steele's Silver Bullets for the locals.

2010 Steiger Sup Draft Recap

With almost anything there are winners and losers. The same can be said for the BDFL's 2010 Supplemental Draft. The big winners were those who upgraded their starting line-ups with key acquisitions like the Blitz (Lewis/JAX), Sloth Monsters (Keller/NYJ), Dogs (Lloyd/DEN) Bullets (Torain/WAS), Gamblers (Hillis/CLE), Grenadiers (Green-Ellis/NE), Mayors (Tamme/IND), PowerSleds (Tolbert/SD), Cheetahs (Johnson/BUF) and Woosiers (Ward/HOU). The big losers were those who settled for the status quo.
