Blitzkrieg Bombing The Gritz Blitz finally catches a break from the schedule maker to blast the low riding Mean Machine in Week 3 DOLOMITE - In what was billed as a certified USSSA Class D "charity" softball match at the Dolodome on Sunday afternoon soon turned dirty and ugly when the West Alabama bunch from down I-20/59 showed up with legitimate Class A ringers led by Jerry Fritz, Kyle Bryan and Alan Stallings. Mad Jack and the PowerSleds had done their part by assembling a band of Class D fan favorite all-stars from the West side of town including Meatball Bentley, Ike Gulas, Tommy "Guns" Walburn and Kenny B. Aldridge. However, this one was over before the Blitz got off the bus. The Fairfield good ol' boys were no match for the Tuscaloosa men as the Druids ruined the fun for the home standers 39-20. The Blitz find themselves in 1st place in the Yellow Hammer while the Sleds are in last in the Gray Beard.

BDFL News  Annual Supplemental Draft to be held after Week 7 games AUDUBON - Each season the BDFL holds a Supplemental Draft to help teams fill in an empty, or low performing slot on their roster. The one round draft goes in the reverse order of the lowest point total team to the highest point total team. Teams can drop a player and pick-up any available player not claimed on another BDFL roster at the time of the draft. The Sup Draft will take place at the regular season half way point which is after the Week 7 games have been played. Sup prospects include Brown/NYG, Barden/NYG Richardson/STL & Bennett/NYG.
