The Cheetahs ran wild over the defending champs to kick-off Week #1 in the BDFL

RIVERCHASE - After last year's crushing loss to the Mean Machine in Big Daddy Bowl XII, the Sin Wagon decided to sneak over to Gary Avenue to see what the Sleds had under the hood. Literally copying their championship roster for the first leg of the BDFL's new Progressive Priority Draft (PPD), the Cheetahs landed 10 rosters spots and defeated the Grenadiers and Dogs in Rock Paper Scissors (See Iron Hand's page for the history of RPS) to take the top pick on Draft Night to assemble the BDFL's new "Dream Team" for the 2014 season.

The raging Blue Deacons to compete in the BDFL in 2014

BANGOR - The Mt. High Blue Deacons won out in a “Name The Team” contest from BDFL fans geo-targeted in the North Jefferson, West Blount, South Cullman region. Barely edging out the St. Bernard Bishops, the Turkey Creek Gobblers and the Nectar Nectarines. The winning entry came from Johnnie McCarly from down near Trafford way.
In his explanation, he stated, “It has that fresh feeling of a Rocky Mountain high combined with the blues of Steely Dan and the honor of the Church”. We couldn’t agree more. The Blue Deacons will try to compete in the Yellow Hammer Division in place of the Juggernauts this season.
